Herbal:  Sandalwood Essential Oil

Therapeutic Uses:  coughs, sore throat, heavy legs, swelling, urinary infection, cystitis, vaginal infection, scarring, insomnia, anxiety, nervous exhaustion, depression

Blends Well With:   Benzoin, cardamom, chamomile, clary sage, coriander seed, frankincense, geranium, jasmine, juniper berry, lavender, lemon, linden, neroli, orange, patchouli, petitgrain, rose, valerian, ylang ylang

Ways to Use Sandalwood Essential Oil

Acne:  Sandalwood antiseptic properties make it an ideal oil for blemishes and speeding up the healing process. Mix 2 drops Sandalwood Essential Oil with ½ tsp coconut oil, apply mixture to each pimple and let absorb. Repeat as needed

Acne Rosacea:  Sandalwood Essential Oil helps reduce skin redness. Blend 2 drops Sandalwood Essential Oil with 1 teaspoon coconut oil, massage into face.

Bronchitis:  Add 3 drops Sandalwood Essential Oil to a steam inhalation and inhale deeply OR Blend 2 drops of Sandalwood Essential Oil with 1 tbsp of coconut oil, massage into chest area.

Cold Sores:  Blend 1 drop of Sandalwood Essential Oil with 1 drop of coconut oil. Apply to cold sore using a cotton swab.

Cystitis:  Blend 3 drops of Sandalwood Essential Oil with 1 teaspoon coconut oil, add to warm sitz bath.

Diarrhea:  Blend 3 drops of Sandalwood Essential Oil with 1 teaspoon coconut oil, massage into the abdomen in a clockwise direction.

Dry Hair:  Mix 4 drops of Sandalwood Essential Oil with 1 tbsp of coconut oil, massage into scalp and hair. Leave for 1 hour, rinse and condition per normal.

Dry Skin:  Blend 2 drops of Sandalwood Essential Oil with1 tsp coconut oil, massage into face and neck.  Repeat as needed.

Dry Cough:  Blend 3 drops of Sandalwood Essential Oil with 1 tbsp of coconut oil, massage into chest area.  Repeat daily.

Eczema:  Blend 2 drops of Sandalwood Essential Oil with1 tsp coconut oil, massage into affected areas.

Fever:  Blend 3 drops of Sandalwood Essential Oil with 1 teaspoon coconut oil, massage into feet.

Hypertension:  Blend 2 drops of Sandalwood Essential Oil with1 tsp coconut oil, massage over center of chest.

Insect Bites:  Blend 2 drops of Sandalwood Essential Oil with ½ tsp coconut oil, apply on bite or sting.

Insomnia:  Mix 2 drops of Sandalwood Essential Oil with 1 teaspoon coconut oil, massage into upper chest and back of neck.

Memory Loss:  Mix 2 drops of Sandalwood Essential Oil with 1 tsp coconut oil, massage into back of neck OR diffuse 3 drops of Sandalwood Essential Oil into an essential oil diffuser.

Muscle Cramps:  Mix 4 drops of Sandalwood Essential Oil with 1 tbsp of coconut oil, massage into muscles.

Scar Tissue:  Blend 2 drops Sandalwood Essential Oil with ½ tsp coconut oil, massage mixture into scar tissue.

Stress & Tension:  Mix 4 drops of Sandalwood Essential Oil with 1 tbsp coconut oil, add to a warm bath. Diffuse 3 drops Sandalwood Essential Oil in an essential oil diffuser.

Vomiting: Blend 3 drops of Sandalwood Essential Oil with 1 teaspoon carrier oil, massage into abdomen in clockwise direction.
